The lake volume of Lake Isabella 5 years ago was 40,000 acft. Compare that to today where its estimated at 206,000 acft. That’s a huge improvement, and Local residents are taking notice. One person on Kern River Valley News & Community Info page posted “I hope we get some big snow in 22-23. It would be nice to see the lake fill up again.”.
Others posted memory’s of the time the water was drying up “We camped deep in Paradise cove and was walking in the old home foundations of old Kernville. We also took wedding pictures of my daughter and son in law there. It was really a strange day.” They all can agree the fuller the lake the better.
