Drunk Driver crashes into a horse in Southeast Bakersfield severely injury it…

California Highway Patrol said alcohol was a factor for both the driver and a person riding a horse involved in a collision Saturday night, severely injuring the horse.

The collision happened just after 7:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of East Casa Loma Street in Southeast Bakersfield. A man was riding his horse on the side of the road when the driver of a gray Toyota struck the horse traveling westbound on Casa Loma. The rider was hurt as well but has minor injuries.
