Temperature in Los Angeles County hit a record 121 degrees… and power goes out.

It’s a rough go of it for those in The Golden State. California has been plagued with extreme heat, wildfires, and poor air quality. And now, the local power company is planning to shut power off in phases to lessen the strain on the grid. They’ve done this in past years, but for many this is just another 20-20 blow. One business owner says he doesn’t have a generator and is at a loss for how he’ll handle his power being shut off.

Across the state generators are flying off the shelves. Many businesses say it’s the only way they can stay open while the power is off.
