President Trump has declared a national emergency over the coronavirus outbreak. CBS News White House correspondent Steven Portnoy reports. The national emergency allows the administration to cut red tape, removing legal obstacles that might otherwise slow the coronavirus response. It also frees up billions in the Disaster Relief Fund. Mr. Trump was joined by the top executives of Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Target and CVS.. as he announced an effort to eventually start drive-thru testing in their parking lots. But, the president said it’s NOT a test that he wants Americans running out to take. He said that would be “totally unnecessary.” But he said HE most likely WILL get tested… A Brazillian official he recently met now has the virus.
