“Wine in the Wild” Hosted by Calm

Buy your tickets today and save on CALM’s second annual Wine in the Wild, scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the beautiful California Living Museum! Presale tickets (prior to May 1, 2019) are $67 and include admission and unlimited food, wine and beer tastings.

Funds raised through Wine in the Wild will go directly to CALM to help complete needed renovations to current exhibits (i.e. the Raptor Round, Reptile House and Mammal Round) and to support CALM’s wildlife rehabilitation efforts. The number of animals CALM serves in our Wildlife Rehabilitation has grown significantly, with nearly 1,000 animals taken in last year. We anticipate another very busy rehabilitation season this year.

Wine in the Wild will again feature local restaurants, wineries and craft beer sellers on CALM’s beautiful grounds. Guests will sample food, wine and beer while enjoying CALM’s native animals, rides on the Central California Children’s Railroad (champagne on the train!) and a variety of musical acts. The summer-casual theme will be the perfect for an evening along the Kern River on CALM’s beautiful 14-acre grounds.

Some of the local restaurants and breweries confirmed to date include: Advance Beverage, Chef’s Choice Noodle Bar, Eureka Burger, Great Change Brewing, Kona Ice, Kern River Brewery, P.F. Chang’s and Temblor Brewing Company, with more to come!

The event will also feature original animal art painted by CALM resident animals and a silent auction including a variety of amazing experiences and items. Docents will roam the grounds with ambassador animals and attendees will be able to see CALM’s California condors, desert bighorn sheep, our resident mountain lions, bears and much more!

Tickets are available at http://calmzoo.org/experiences/wine-in-the-wild/ or at CALM, 10500 Alfred Harrell Highway (661-872-2256).
