CONTEST RULES

Effective date: September 14, 2026

These General Contest Rules apply to every contest, giveaway, sweepstakes, and promotion conducted by Rewind 98.1 FM and 93.5 FM, whether announced on the air, on rewind981.com, in the Rewind 98.1 FM mobile app, or on our social media pages.

Each individual promotion also has its own Specific Rules, which state the prize, the entry period, how to enter, and any additional requirements. The Specific Rules are announced on the air and posted on the entry page for that promotion. If the Specific Rules for a promotion conflict with these General Contest Rules, the Specific Rules control for that promotion only.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

Hill Broadcasting is referred to in these rules as the "Station" or "Sponsor." A promotion may also have a prize provider, advertiser, venue, or promoter involved, referred to as a "Prize Sponsor."

2. Eligibility

To enter or win any Station promotion, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry, or older if the Specific Rules require it for a particular prize or venue
• Be a legal resident of the United States who resides in the Station's listening area, which for these purposes means Kern County, California, unless the Specific Rules state a different area
• Have a valid government-issued photo identification available at the time of prize claim
• Not be subject to any restriction described below

The following people are not eligible to enter or win:

• Employees, officers, directors, owners, and independent contractors of the Station and of Hill Broadcasting
• Employees, officers, directors, and owners of any Prize Sponsor, advertising agency, or promotional partner involved in the promotion
• Members of the immediate family of any person listed above, meaning spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, and their spouses, regardless of where they live
• Anyone living in the same household as any person listed above, whether related or not

Entries from anyone who does not meet the eligibility requirements are void. If an ineligible person is selected, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.

3. How to Enter

Entry methods vary by promotion and are stated in the Specific Rules. Common methods include:

Online entry. Most online giveaways are hosted on SweepWidget, a third-party promotions platform. The entry form appears embedded on rewind981.com or on a SweepWidget page we link to. You complete the entry form on that platform. Entry data is submitted to and stored by SweepWidget, not on rewind981.com. Your use of SweepWidget is governed by SweepWidget's terms and privacy policy, available at sweepwidget.com.

Some online promotions offer optional bonus entry actions, such as following a social media account, sharing a link, or referring a friend. Bonus actions are optional and never required in order to enter. The number of additional entries awarded for each action is disclosed on the entry form.

On-air entry. For call-in promotions, listen for the announced cue and call the contest line at 1 (877) 516-9981. The caller in the announced position who meets the eligibility requirements wins, subject to verification. Standard call, message, and data rates from your carrier may apply. The Station is not responsible for busy signals, dropped calls, carrier delays, or any other telephone issue.

Mail-in entry. For any online giveaway, you may enter free of charge by mail instead of using the online form. Hand print your full name, complete mailing address, daytime phone number, email address, date of birth, and the exact name of the promotion on a 3 x 5 card and mail it in a hand-addressed envelope with proper postage to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked during the entry period and received within 5 business days after the entry period ends. One mail-in entry per envelope. Mail-in entries receive one entry each and are added to the same drawing pool as online entries. Illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, or bulk-mailed entries are void. The Station is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or postage-due mail.

4. Entry Limits

Unless the Specific Rules state otherwise, one person may submit one base entry per promotion, plus any optional bonus entries earned through the actions listed on the entry form.

Use of any automated system, script, bot, entry service, multiple email addresses, multiple accounts, or false identity to enter is prohibited and will void all entries from that person. The Station may disqualify any entrant it reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process or acted in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner.

5. Winner Selection

Random drawings. Where the Specific Rules call for a drawing, winners are selected at random from all eligible entries received during the entry period, using the random selection tool provided by SweepWidget or by another random method of the Station's choosing. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

On-air contests. Where the Specific Rules call for a call-in or skill-based contest, the winner is determined as announced on the air. The Station's decisions on all matters relating to a promotion, including caller position, timing, and correctness of answers, are final and binding.

6. Winner Notification and Verification

Winners are notified using the contact information submitted with the entry, generally by email or telephone, within 5 business days of selection unless the Specific Rules state otherwise.

A potential winner must respond and complete verification within 3 business days of the first notification attempt. If a potential winner does not respond in that time, cannot be reached, is found ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete required documents, the prize is forfeited and the Station may select an alternate winner or elect not to award the prize.

Before a prize is awarded, the Station may require the winner to present valid government-issued photo identification and to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and, where permitted by law, a publicity release.

7. Prize Claim

Unless the Specific Rules state otherwise, prizes must be claimed in person at the Station's office at 3651 Pegasus Dr, Suite 107, Bakersfield, CA 93308, during office hours of Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Pacific.

Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of notification. A prize not claimed within 30 days is forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner or not awarded at all, at the Station's discretion.

Some prizes, such as event tickets, may be held at the venue box office or delivered electronically. Where a prize is time-sensitive, a shorter claim deadline may apply and will be stated at the time of notification.

8. Prize Conditions

• All prizes are awarded as is, with no warranty or guarantee of any kind, express or implied, by the Station.
• Prizes are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and may not be sold, auctioned, or exchanged.
• No substitution of a prize is permitted, except that the Station or Prize Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
• The winner is responsible for all costs and expenses not expressly stated as part of the prize, including transportation, parking, lodging, meals, taxes, gratuities, insurance, and any other incidental expense.
• Event and travel prizes are subject to the terms, conditions, and restrictions imposed by the venue, promoter, or provider, including date, seating, capacity, age, and conduct requirements. If an event is postponed, relocated, or canceled, the Station has no obligation to provide a substitute prize.
• Any manufacturer or provider warranty on a prize is the responsibility of that manufacturer or provider, not the Station.
• The Station is not responsible for a prize that is lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed after it is delivered to the winner.

9. Taxes

All federal, state, and local taxes on a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are reported as income where required by law. If the total approximate retail value of the prizes a winner receives from the Station in a calendar year is $600 or more, the winner must provide a completed IRS Form W-9, including a valid Social Security number or taxpayer identification number, before the prize is released. The Station will issue IRS Form 1099-MISC as required. A winner who declines to provide the required tax information forfeits the prize.

10. Winner Frequency Limit

Unless the Specific Rules state otherwise, a person may win only one prize from the Station in any 30-day period, and members of the same household may collectively win only one prize in any 30-day period. Entries submitted in violation of this limit remain in the drawing but will not be awarded a prize.

11. Publicity Release

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Station, Hill Broadcasting, and any Prize Sponsor to use the winner's name, city of residence, voice, statements, photograph, and likeness for advertising, promotional, and broadcast purposes in any medium, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional notice, review, approval, or compensation.

12. Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless Hill Broadcasting, the Station, each Prize Sponsor, SweepWidget, and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the promotion, the acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or attendance at any event associated with a prize.

The Station is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, garbled, delayed, or not received for any reason, or for any hardware, software, network, telephone, internet, platform, or other technical failure. If for any reason a promotion cannot be conducted as planned, including because of technical failure, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the Station's reasonable control, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend, or extend the promotion, and to award any prize from eligible entries received before the action was taken.

13. Conduct and Disqualification

The Station may disqualify any entrant or winner who, in the Station's reasonable judgment, violates these rules, provides false information, tampers with the entry process, abuses Station staff or a Prize Sponsor, or behaves in a manner that reflects poorly on the Station or a Prize Sponsor. The Station's decision is final.

14. Privacy

Information submitted with an entry is used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact winners, award prizes, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell entrant information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

Online entries are collected and stored by SweepWidget on its own systems, not on rewind981.com. SweepWidget's handling of that data is governed by its privacy policy at sweepwidget.com. Winner information may be provided to a Prize Sponsor solely to issue or deliver the prize. Entrants are not added to any Station marketing list unless they separately opt in.

15. Social Media Platforms

Station promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Apple, Google, or any other platform. By entering, you release those platforms from any liability related to the promotion. Any information you submit is provided to the Station and to SweepWidget, not to the platform.

16. FCC Compliance

The Station conducts its promotions substantially as announced and discloses the material terms of each promotion in accordance with Section 73.1216 of the FCC's rules. The material terms of each promotion, including the prize, entry method, entry period, eligibility restrictions, and how winners are selected, are disclosed on the air and on the entry page for that promotion, and in these rules.

Copies of these General Contest Rules and the Specific Rules for any active promotion are available at rewind981.com/contest-rules, and in printed form at the Station office during office hours at no charge.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These rules and any dispute arising from a Station promotion are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Each entrant agrees that any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or connected to any Station promotion shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, in the state or federal courts located in Kern County, California, and each entrant consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Entrants waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages and any damages other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and waive all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

18. Winners List

For the name of the winner of any promotion that closed within the previous 90 days, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope stating the name of the promotion to:
